Maxime, 15, would like us to know he is cool, and we don’t doubt it. Check out that hair. It’s an exciting time for him, as coming to North Carolina will be Maxime’s first time traveling without his parents.
There resides an inherent benefit in hosting someone from another country–it benefits the student from abroad, it benefits the family who hosts, and it benefits the community at large because that community comes into contact with another culture, however fleetingly. It results in a removal of preconceptions and generalizations and a realization of this: that we are all quite a lot alike.
Maxime hopes he’ll be considered one of the family, and wants them to know he is respectful and a naturally happy guy.
If you think you or someone you know might enjoy the benefits of hosting Maxime this summer, and would like to view his entire profile to get to know more about him, please call me at 336-254-7812 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also DM me on Twitter or Instagram. TW: @terredeslangues and IG: @terredeslanguesnc. The students in Maxime’s group will be staying from June 15th through July 15th. They bring their own spending money and are fully insured. There are no costs to a host family other than sharing meals at the table.
